Welcome to the Regenerative Streets Podcast, where we explore how everyday people are transforming streets into places of joy, connection, and ecological wellbeing.

In this trailer, host Laura Aston is joined by Nina Sharpe, lead convener of 300,000 Streets, an Earth Shot project by Regen Melbourne. Together, they unpack what it means to create “streets full of life” and share inspiring glimpses of how communities across Greater Melbourne are reclaiming public space—through food forests, laneway greening, street parties, and more. Drawing on Paul Hawken’s definition of regeneration  “putting life at the centre of every decision”, this episode sets the tone for a podcast rooted in hope, action, and community.

Laura also shares her personal journey from a decade in sustainability and transport to a deeper focus on local regeneration. This five-episode pilot invites listeners to reflect on the role of streets in their own lives and to imagine what’s possible when we treat them as shared spaces for connection and care. Whether you're a practitioner, advocate, or curious neighbour, this show is for you.
